Scientists learned that Betty the crow could solve a problem. This is not proof that crows can solve problems. Scientists have to do more tests. They have to study other crows.
The scientists gave the crows this problem. They put food in a tiny bucket with a handle. The bucket was at the bottom of a tube. The crows could not reach the bucket without using a tool.
Zebras live out on the plains where lions come and go. Crocodiles live in lakes and rivers, and fish and snakes do, too. Whales and sharks and jellyfish swim in the ocean blue.
Animals do amazing things and have amazing habits. Some we like to keep at home, like cats and dogs and rabbits. Animals live all over the world in many kinds of homes.
The North Wind looked at the woman. The North Wind blew a tiny puff of air. The woman smiled. She thought, “It’s nice to have a cool breeze on such a hot day.”
The Sun turned his face to Earth. He grew brighter. The clouds disappeared. The Sun became even brighter. The birds peeked out of their nests.
I like it when we get together. We talk, laugh and play games. There is plenty of food to eat. There is plenty of noise! You can tell that everyone is happy to be together.
Hector goes into the store, picks out an orange and then one more He sees a pretty flower to buy. Hector’s really quite a guy!
